We applied for and received a grant that is funded through USDA’s food stamp program. Our goal is to increase the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables we serve to your children. We will be trying to use as many vegetables and fruits that the children have grown in our garden as well as purchasing fresh produce from the Farmer’s Market. We have hired a prep cook who will work on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday preparing our healthy snacks. On Fridays, we invite you to join us for snack so you can sample what we are serving. We will also be providing recipes for you to take home.
Also every Friday, from 2:00 – 6:00, the Chapmantown Food & Fitness Festival takes place. It is a year-round Farmer’s Market that is located in front of Chapman school on Cleveland. A free garden produce exchange takes place as well. We hope to take some walks with the children over to the market. You are welcome to come along if you like or check it out on your own.
I have attached a short survey that we will be using for grant purposes. Please fill it out and return it to a teacher in your child’s program.
Thanks! If you have any questions, you can come by the office or call me at 891-5363.

For more than 30 years, our mission has remained the same: to break the cycle of poverty through the provision of quality childcare.
We are an organization for children. We are committed to helping them and their parents achieve social and emotional success.
Chico Community Children's Center is currently licensed to care for 95 children and offers six age appropriate programs to promote learning and growth.
In order to qualify for services families must be income eligible and working or attending vocational training. Children who are at risk of abuse or neglect are prioritized on our waiting list.
Without CCCC’s services, many of our parents would not be able to work or pursue educational goals due to the high cost of childcare services.
